The university centre in Constanta has a library featuring around 500,000 books, magazines, periodicals, reference books, monographs, manuscripts, audio-visual documents, discs, and CD-ROMs. It also has manuscripts, ancient books, maps, albums; it is equipped with modern computers enabling access to international scientific publications.

With respect to the access to the job market, the Consulting Centre has been working within Ovidius University in Constanta since 2003, aiming to support its graduates in search for jobs matching their professional training and skills. The Centre offers professional consultations based on the student’s personality, skills and individual goals.

Ovidius University in Constanta contributed to the development of inter-university links at the European and international level, concluding agreements involving all higher education institutions and encompassing academic staff, didactics, and research.

Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine at the State University of Constanta was founded in 1989 and recognized by the Ministry of Education of Romania and by the Parliament of Romania.

Alongside with the Faculties of Medicine in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Timisoara, Targu Mures, and Craiova, the faculty in Constanta has joined the European Credit Transfer System thus ensuring student mobility between all medical universities of the European Union.

The priorities of the Faculty of Medicine in Constanta include the use of state-of-the-art technologies of medical training and clinical practice.

  • Medicine: 6-year program, 360 university credits;
  • General Patient Care: 4-year program, 240 university credits;
  • Physiotherapy: 3-year program, 180 university credits.

Faculty of Dentistry

The Faculty of Dentistry at Ovidius University of Constanta was initially a department at the Faculty of Medicine.

In the academic year 2007-2008, the Faculty of Dentistry has acquired the status of a separate subdivision according to the requirements of the European higher education standardization system.
